Namitha Kapoor born on May 10th, 1981 in Surat in Gujarat State, India has participated in several local beauty pageants before she won the 'Miss Surat' title in 1998 and missed her 2001 Miss India crown by a whisker and ended up being a second runner-up. However, she got noticed by the industry people and thus began her career in showbiz world.
