After the sudden stop in the filming after he violated an agreement with the Kerala Forest Department, Mani is back to shooting in the Malayatoor forest for his multilingual film “Ravana” starring Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Prithviraj and Priyamani.
Mani was asked to stop shooting on Friday evening because it was found that he had constructed temporary huts in prohibited areas in the forest. As per the rules, they are not supposed to erect any structures in such areas but it was found out that they had constructed three huts.
On tuesday a fresh sanction was given to continue shooting but with stiff conditions. The case registered by the forest department will continue. The crew has been asked to remit a fee of Rs.10,000 per day of shooting, whereas prior to the violation all what they were charged was a mere Rs.1,000 for the entire duration of the shooting. The number of vehicles that would be allowed inside the forest also has been drastically reduced.

The music of Ultimate star Ajith’s Aegan has been released yesterday. Ajith’s much awaited Aegan is nearing completion. Aegan is under post production at present. Aegan crew will leave this Monday for the Switzerland Alps to shoot for a song in the film. Raju Sundaram the director of Aegan will choreograph this song. The rest of the portions have already been shot in locations inside and outside India.The Aegan movie also brings Nayantara and Ajith together again after the superhit Billa. Music of this Aegan movie is Yuvan Shankara Raja. The music was released under the Ayangaran music label, while the online version is brought to you by Think music.

Its romance in the Swiss Alps for the hit pair of Billa - Ajith and Nayantara. They will be seen together on the silver screen again in Aegan which is at the last stages of its shooting. The last song for Aegan slated for Diwali release is being shot in Interlaken in Switzerland which is located at the heart of the Swiss alps. The choreographer for the song is Raju Sundaram.
Ajith will woo Nayan for this melodious number tuned by music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Its said that Nayan is all set to increase the heartbeat of her fans in this song clad with Yash Chopra-style chiffon sarees designed by Nalini Sriram while Ajith will woo his fans with designer Suits.
The entire talkie portion and other songs of the film have been completed. The audio of the film will have a soft launch on Thursday (Oct 9), which is Vijayadasmi day, as the entire unit of the film will be in Switzerland on the day. The film will have a big Diwali day release worldwide in over 400 screens.
Ajith will be seen in this film with Navdeep, Nayantara, Suhasini and Piya. Navdeep acts as Ajith’s brother and Suhasini appears as his mother. Jayaram acts as college principal and Nayantara as the lecturer. This is the re-make of Shah Rukh Khan’s Hindi film ‘Main Hoon Na’.

The photoshoot of Simbu-Varalakshmi’s next film titled Podaa Podi was done in Mumbai by Dabboo Ratnani, the famous still photographer who rarely does films in Tamil. Tamil superstar Sarath Kumar’s daughter Varalaxmi (Varu) makes her debut opposite Simbu in “Podaa Podi”.

What so special you get in Dhaam Dhoom? Well, you know what Jeeva would deliver with each of his flicks. Obviously, the kinky screenplay and scintillating cinematography makes us more delighting. The way actors are presented looks so splendid with a different style. Two different locations: Coorg and Moscow are spelled so stunningly with different tones and rich colors.
More dissimilar to his previous flicks 12B, Ullam Ketkume and Unnale Unnale, Dhaam Dhoom is entirely action-packed thriller with a crisp innovative screenplay (traces of Hollywood style of making). Blending a gripping edge-seated thriller with comedy and extreme romance makes the film appealing for the senses.
The entire film centers on the character of Gautham’s (Ravi) past and present life in inter-cut style… Interesting isn’t?
Gautham Subramaniam (Jeyam Ravi), an intelligent, peppy and charming is a well-pampered son of his father who is a doctor. Like his father, Gautham too takes up the same profession and feels elated about. He is invited to represent India for an International Doctors’ seminar in Russia. On his way of fleeting to Russia, he has beautiful images of his ladylove Shenba (Kangana Ranaut) in flashes. She is none other than his fiancée who he will be entering into nuptials on his return to India.
The entire series of sequences is about Jeyam Ravi making his way to a village town where his sister stays and it is where he meets and falls in love with Shenba.
Back to the present, Gautham reaches Moscow, where he stands at the queue getting through immigration section. It is where he happens to see Anna (Maria), across the queue where she accidently drops her jacket and moves out. With no choice left, Gautham has to take the jacket along with him and soon move out for meeting the visiting team.
Well, he feels Moscow as his paradise with the beautiful scenario of ambience. He is astounded with the place, but one thing troubles him a lot. None of them speaks in English and its only Russian that is heard all over.
Later, on his days in Russia, Gowtham and Anna meet accidentally meet in the hotel and he returns her jacket to her. Fine! A good relationship blooms between them and sooner they get away to their places. The Doctors’ association goes well and Gautham is appreciated for his good piece of work. The entire team of Doctors’ Association goes out to celebrate the successful completion of Seminar. It is a nightclub, where again he happens to meet Anna who enters there and gets boozed up. Again, with no choice left, Gautham has to get Anna back to her room.
The story takes it turn into topsy-turvy when, the immediate next cut shows Russian Police barbarically pulling Gautham and shouting at him aggressively. The most shocking part here is that of Anna lying dead on the sofa.
The man has to now undergo violent show of abuse and beatings condemned for committing murder. Pushed behind the bars, he again catches hold of flash back sequences of back in India about his first meeting with Shenba and their love story…
Gautham gets a hope when Court of Russia appoints Anjali Chinappa (Lakshmi Rai) to defend his case. Also, Indian High Commission sends forth Jayaram to help him. Then starts the real chase where what was the real intention behind the murder and who did it has to be finding out if Gautham has to be freed from his conviction…
Entire 2.5hrs is each minute worth-watching that has lots of action, romance, thriller, comedy and big chases.
For the very first time, Jeyam Ravi has been spotted so differently suiting the role of matured performance. Be it happy going scenes or serious ones, he emotes well to the situations. Kangana Ranaut does off good performance as a bubbly young mischievous girl, who turns out to be of a real womanhood after falling in love with Ravi.
The most highlighting part on the star-casts is Lakshmi Rai. For the first time, she has been depicted in a different role. This is sure to win her the laurels and get good going in tinsel town. Her performance is commendable, especially when she falls in love with Ravi and suppress her feelings after getting to know that he is about to get married to Shenba on his return to India. Jayaram does a decent job and nothing has to reveal about his characterization. If you want to know, go and watch it in the theatre…
Jeeva’s benchmarking work on direction and cinematography are the splendid aspects of the film. Few super sonic tracks belted out by Harris Jayaraj, followed by titilating background score and visualization take on as a good treat…
Bits and pieces of small flaws (0.00001%) of asynchronous lip movements and dubbing for Kangana Ranaut. Or else, the film is really worth watching and of course a final piece of work from a versatile filmmaker Jeeva.

The upcomming weekend will see the release of two of the much awaited movies, Jayamkondan and Dhaam Dhoom. Both the movies have undergone the censor cut with a clean U certificate.
Jeyam Kondaan is finally hitting the theatres after its anticipated release in July. The movie is being directed by first-timer R. Kannan, who was earlier assisting Mr. Mani Ratnam. The film has music by Vidyasagar and lyrics by Vaali. The camera is being handled by cameraman Balasubramaniam of ‘Pithamagan’ fame. The movie is the next venture of Sathyjothi Films after the sucess of ‘Em Magan’. Unnale Unnale fame Vinay plays the lead role and supported by Bhavana and Lekha. Music is by Vidyasagar
